The Presbyterian Youth Triennium will feature an interactive exhibit and mission space. This is not your standard exhibit hall! There are no pipe and drape booths. We actually encourage you to “take up space.” The Youth Triennium Mission Center (AKA exhibit hall) is located in the main ballroom of the Purdue Memorial Union. It features bookstores, presentations, program exhibits and projects. This a space for the youth delegates and youth leaders to hang out, cool off, meet new people, check their email, learn about opportunities for youth and adults in the church and explore their call to serve Jesus Christ! It is also the place, we hope, that gives them a visual of how diverse, creative and relevant their church is!
Who are the exhibitors?
Official offices, programs and teams from both the PC (USA) and the Cumberland Churches are generally the programs that are specifically invited because they offer a unique ministry that would appeal to and be appropriate for youth. Exhibitors at the Triennium are asked to provide an area that is interactive, inviting and geared toward high school age youth. Letters and promotional materials will be sent to offices within both denominations fall 2009.
Exhibitor Fees and Registration
The fee for exhibitors is $325.00. This fee includes a space (typically about 12 x 12 ft) 1 table, 2 chairs, and shipping by PDC. Different kinds of space and exhibits can be negotiated with the hall Coordinators, Jon Brown and Rob Bullock. Exhibitor registration is limited due to conference needs and physical space. Registration opens on December 1, 2009 and closes May 1, 2010. Registration will be done online.
Accommodations
There are a number of nice properties near the campus. There is also a campus hotel, the Purdue Memorial Union Club. This is the property that will also house the staff and design team. We highly recommend that you book a room at the Union Club Hotel. It’s very nice, reasonable and very convenient! It’s physically connected to the building that houses the Triennium office, exhibit hall, a coffee shop, print center and lots of food options.
Presbyterian Church (USA) Exhibitors
The Triennium comes on the heels of the 219th General Assembly in Minneapolis, MN. Jeff Dorris of PDC has offered to help coordinate a tear down and shipping process so that any exhibitors who are working at both events (GA and PYT) can send their gear straight from MN to IN. We’ll provide more details in one of several TRIENNIUM INFORMATION SEMINARS we’ll hold at the Presbyterian Center. We’ll also post the information on the website for programs not housed at the Presbyterian Center in Louisville.
